About

Shelly Chapman
Born in Temuka, South Canterbury, NZ
Lives in Barrytown & works in Greymouth.
I am presently working as a secondary school teacher and Head of Department in Technology at Greymouth High School. I majored in Photography and would describe myself as a mixed media artist.
I love to mix it up using woodcut, transfer prints, vandyke brown and cyanotypes mixed with text and paint. I like to work with themes with biblical references and often use retro fabrics and my collection of jugs as inspiration.

I am also inspired by fantastic environment around me on the coast and the bush and native plants
